Super-Asymmetry’o

Super-Asymmetry’o is a trio formed by two non-identical parts – one trumpet and two snare drums – two instruments with a historical connection. Using various kinds of props as unexpected as they are suggestive, the two percussionists generate an equation composed of elastic loops, textures, rhythms, and patterns which interconnects with the equation suggested by the trumpet. Featuring a program that makes use of graphic scores, circular generative methods, and linear compositions, Super-Asymmetry’o essentially lives on spontaneous variables and unknown particles that may materialize in each performance.
