Borges, Rainer & Dunston form a collaborative trio that explores the fertile space between improvised music, free jazz, electronic minimalism and spontaneous noise making. Each member of the trio expands their language through various extensions and preparations of their instruments, contributing to a diverse and original palette of timbres and sounds, which enhances the creation of electroacoustic textures that are as surprising as they are unexpected. Established in Berlin in 2023, the Borges – Rainer – Dunston trio oscillates between the brilliance of composition and open improvisation, consistently jumping between spontaneity and obedience, only possible thanks to eclecticism and individuality of each member of the trio.
