Schrei (2016)
for 12 voices

Schrei is a piece for 12 voices. I composed this piece for the french vocal ensemble Musicatreize, conducted by Jame Wood, in the frame of the TENSO Workshop for Young Composers. The final round of this Workshop, to which I was selected, took place in Marseille, France, in February 2016. This workshop is linked to another TENSO project 14-18 : from poetry to musicand the commission implied the use of a text written during the World War I. I’ve chosen “Schrei” by the German poet August Stramm.
